Picture books are such a valuable learning tool. They create opportunities for kids to learn about themselves and the world around them. The illustrations allow even the youngest children to make connections to their own experiences.
In this series, we are going to explore the creative processes of some of our favorite illustrators and use their artwork as inspiration for art journaling. This is a fun way to introduce kids to unique ways of creating art and show them the value of trying out a new process.
I love using wordless picture books in my classroom. The illustrations stand on their own so they are perfect for encouraging young children to read independently.
